AIR MOTORS WITH DOUBLE ROTOR
Air motors with double rotor are particularly durable, start-up-safe and power-stable. If you need reliable drive units for installation that start smoothly even after long standstills, under load and at low pressure, you have come to the right place. Changing the direction of rotation without stopping, more than 1000 stops/hour or the use of a holding brake are possible with double rotor motors. In addition to our standards, we can also offer you special solutions in other designs, e.g. stainless steel, or as an ATEX variant. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
HOW DOES A DOUBLE ROTOR MOTOR WORKS?
A double rotor motor consists of two gears running in a housing. One gear wheel is firmly connected to the output shaft, while the second is mounted in the housing. After entering the housing wall, the compressed air is guided to the exhaust port and thus drives the gears.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF A DOUBLE ROTOR MOTOR?
Due to the robust, simple design, the reliable running and the large selection, these gear motors offer you all possibilities for use in industrial and demanding applications. A holding brake and gearbox can be adapted. The reliable start-up - even under load, even after a long standstill - should be emphasized.
At the same time, these motors have low air consumption, are very durable and require little maintenance. Oiling of the compressed air is always required in the standard design ("steel on steel"). You are dependent on an oil-free application: Contact us specifically. We have succeeded in developing special solutions for this as well.
- Durable and low-maintenance
- Simple and robust design
- Reliable start-up under load
- Low air consumption

WHERE CAN DOUBLE ROTOR MOTORS BE INSTALLED?
Due to their high load capacity and constant running, these motors are often used in production for screwing and thread cutting or for mounting seals. Length compensation and the adaptable output drive mount can thus be designed to fit your application exactly. But you can also find high-performance models for solutions in the field of lifting, transporting or driving winches. This means you can find applications in mechanical engineering and shipbuilding, in the automotive and paper industries, for transport and conveyor technology requirements or in mixing and agitating systems.
Do you plan an application in potentially explosive atmospheres? We also offer our models on request with a certificate of ATEX class II 2 GD c, temperature classes T4 to T6 for zones of type 1 and 2 (gas) and 21 and 22 (dust).
AIR MOTORS WITH VANES
These air motors are low-maintenance drive units for installation in other machines. They are particularly adaptable, can be installed in explosion-proof areas (with ATEX certification) in appropriate equipment, in stainless steel versions in the food sector or even in production lines.
HOW DOES A VANE MOTOR WORKS?
The drive of a vane air motor essentially consists of the components cylinder, rotor, vanes, cylindrical discs and the required planetary gear for speed reduction. HOLGER CLASEN air vane motors meet all the requirements of an economical industrial product thanks to careful selection of materials, low friction values and high precision.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF A VANE MOTOR?
Due to the robust, simple design, the high adaptability of the installed components, the insensitivity to heat, dust and overload, you have a wide choice of motors for use in industrial applications: underwater applications, EX areas, clean room or medical technology and many more. The motors are reliable, stable in performance, safe to start, have a low air consumption and are low-maintenance.
WHERE CAN VANE MOTORS BE INSTALLED?
Vane motors are drive units for installation in machines where the operating point is the decisive criterion. They can be found in machine tools, manufacturing, feed or entrainment equipment and are widely used in industry thanks to their high adaptability in terms of material and design. They can be used as stainless steel components in the food industry or, with appropriate ATEX certification, in explosion-proof areas.
Low-speed motors are particularly noteworthy; they can score points as drives in agitators, for example, or for positioning components and processes with different movements. The decisive factor here is not the load torque - the torque must not exceed 4-5 Nm - here the low speed is desired.
