Repair/Maintenance

Please send your tools to the following address:

Holger Clasen GmbH & Co. KG Alsterdorfer Straße 228 22297 Hamburg

Please include a brief description of the defect with your tool so that our technicians in the workshop know what to look for. We also need the contact details of the person who should receive the cost estimate.

Send us an email to info@holger-clasen.de or call us on 040/51128-0.
Let us know:
- Which tool you sent in for repair so that we can find a suitable replacement for you
- Whether you need accessories (batteries, charger)
This service is subject to a charge.

You have the option of using our express service. This guarantees that you will receive a cost estimate within 24 hours of the tool arriving for €39 net.

- Novopress
- Geberit

A cost estimate is provided free of charge. However, costs will be incurred if you decide to return the tool (unrepaired/disassembled, €60 net plus transport costs). Environmentally friendly disposal is free of charge.

When your tool arrives, you will first receive a confirmation of receipt from us. The tool will then be checked and you will receive a detailed cost estimate, which lists all the costs involved, for approval. After your approval, the repair will be carried out. If not all spare parts are available from stock, you will receive information from us and in this case you will have the option of receiving a bridging tool for the duration of the repair.

Regular care and maintenance saves you expensive repairs and extends the life of your tool. With hydraulic tools, maintenance ensures that the force is within the tolerance range and thus guarantees the quality of your work results.

We can only give information about the amount of the repair costs once the tool has been checked in our workshop. You will then receive a detailed cost estimate from us.

To ensure the longest possible service life of your tool, we recommend maintenance every 12 months or after 10,000 work cycles.

The time it takes to prepare a cost estimate for Holger Clasen tools is usually 5 working days. For third-party products, it usually takes 10 - 15 working days. The time may vary depending on the workload of the workshop.

If you have not received a cost estimate from us beyond this information, you are welcome to find out about the status of your repair process by phone or email.

Products/range

Some of our tools offer you the option of both wide and narrow crimping. Narrow crimping allows you to crimp larger cross-sections with tools that require less force (e.g. 300 sqmm with a 6-ton crimping tool). However, more crimps are then necessary. With wide crimping, you save time because fewer crimps are necessary, but for larger cross-sections you need a tool with more force.

You need a cutting tool with fine-ground blades if you want to cut fine and very fine-wire stranded conductors class 5 and 6 according to DIN 60228 (VDE 0295). The special grinding enables a precise cut and prevents the strands from jamming in the blades.

Here you will find an overview of our batteries and chargers and how they are compatible:
